Oblt Jamrowski lrd the 6th & 8th company's during the hard fighting of Cassino. After a massive air and arttilery barrage, Jamrowski and a few of his men were burried under the rubble. Somehow he was able to keep his head and with the unexpected help of his runner, who returned looking for him, were able to crawl out of their 12 hour ordeal. Jamrowski emmediatly began taking control of the situation and with the few men he had, he was able to restore his lines. Oblt JamrowskI was at his finest and his steadfast courage earned him the Knights Cross.
